COMPETITION DETAILS AND INFORMATION
Here you will find information on how
to take part. Please note there are two competitions: one for
Years 9 and 10 students, and the other for Years 11 and 12.
In order to take part in the competition, you will need to download
the documents below for the relevant age group.
Key dates – Here you will find important
information about submission deadlines, and the subsequent timetable
for when national winners will be finalised.
Scenario – The scenario provides the basic
information your students will require to take part in the competition,
including specifics about what your students need to consider
when designing their sustainable community.
Aims of the task – This sheet provides an overview
of the sorts of areas students should consider when responding
to the ‘scenario’.
Submission form – A separate submission
form must be completed and submitted with each competition entry.
Terms and conditions – This includes important
entry and submission guidelines and requirements.
Judging criteria – These documents outline the criteria
against which entries will be judged for the two age groups. More
information about the judging process can also be found on the
Judging tab of this website.
Competition resource pack
– This includes much of the information your students
will want to know about relating to different aspects of sustainable
communities, such as renewable energy, sustainable transport and
recycling. Your school should already have received a copy of
the resource pack in the post but you can download an electronic
version of the booklet by clicking on the link below.
